The Family of Honnor Wombwell and John Hammond

Honnor Wombwell was the eldest child of John Wombwell and Sarah Corbey. At the 1841 census Honnor, aged 10, was living with her grandparents at Lower Green, Langley - next door to her parents. She may have been moved next door because her newest brother, John, was only one month old at the time.

On 29th September 1849 she married John Hammond at Langley Parish Church

I have not (yet) found Honnor or John at either the 1851 or 1861 Censuses

At the 1871 Census Honnor was listed as married, aged 40, and acting as housekeeper with her brother Arthur and his son Alfred in Langley Village. I have not yet looked for John at this time.

I can find neither Honnor or John at the 1881 Census, but their son, Charles, was now 30 and married to Louisa, aged 32, and they had a daughter Emily, aged 1 year.
